Jing movie

I can not figure out how to link my movie to my blog. So, I simply captured the entire page as seen above. Once I figure it out, it will be posted. I have saved the video in screencast, however, I can't get it to link or upload here.

Civil War ranking

After reading here is my ranking.
1. Slavery- The Civil War seems to be all about slavery. Slavery was a huge moral issue.
2. Economic differences-South economy depended on slavery because it was all they knew. North didn't want power to be overtaken by the South.
3. Election of Lincoln- He campaigned against the expansion of slavery in the Southern states.
4. States Rights- Northerners were small farmers that really knew very little about slavery. Southerners included slavery as a way of life. Southerners didn't want the North to have any influence on their culture.
5. Rise of Abolition Movement- States could not be a slave state any longer and this became a major focal point in the Civil War.

Podcast Post #1

After a mini lesson and playing with the site audacity, I have completed my first ever podcast! This was kind of fun. I just don't think it is practical for elementary students. The students in which I will be working are in special education and need visual and hands on lessons. This would be a great way to present lessons to middle and high school students. You can see my script here and listen to the audio here.
